Dan Lere

Dr. Lere became Superintendent of Pueblo School District No. 70 in July, 2005.
He formerly served as the Executive Director of Personnel Services for Lewis-Palmer District 38 and Superintendent of River Ridge School District in Patch Grove, Wisconsin. He worked as a middle school principal in Evans, Colorado from 1991 to 1999 and was also the Information Specialist for Greeley's District 6.
Dr. Lere earned his Bachelor's Degree from Colorado State University at Fort Collins and Master's and Doctorate Degree from the University of Northern Colorado.
Ed Smith
Ed Smith has served in a variety of positions in the field of education. Much of his career has been spent in the Greeley/Evans School District No. 6, where he began as a custodian. After teaching for 8 years, Ed served as an assistant principal and principal. He also worked as a principal and then as the Director of Personnel and Auxiliary Services in the RE-1 School District in Gilcrest, Colorado, followed by a year as a Director of Human Resources in the Poudre R-1 School District in Ft. Collins. Mr. Smith currently serves Pueblo 70 as Assistant Superintendent.
