Accountability
Cedar Ridge is proud to have achieved a "High" School Accountability Performance Rating for the third consecutive year! We can attribute this performance to several factors. First, we have a significant number of parents that understand the importance of education and have high attendance, academic, and behavioral expectations of their children. It is gratifying for our staff to have so many parents that support us in educating children.
We are very fortunate to be a part of a school district that is recognized as one of the best in the state for our size and funding level. We are one of the lowest funded districts in the state of Colorado, yet none of our schools were rated "low" on the 2006-2007 School Accountability Report. This certainly speaks well of the dedication of our central administration staff and the planning they do to keep the focus on student learning.
Research has shown the most influential factor in student achievement is classroom teachers that consistently provide quality instruction that meets the needs of all students. The Cedar Ridge Elementary staff is such a staff. I often find myself with "educational goose bumps" when I observe the intense level of education that continually happens at our school. Conversation at CRE is almost always centered on student needs.
