District 70 implements these systems to enable and empower students to meet or exceed district standards, to develop strong intellectual habits and instill the values necessary to be responsible, productive citizens in our society. Students are required to demonstrate  proficiency in both  academic and social skills and to cultivate appreciation for diverse cultures. Additionally, students are encouraged to adopt healthy habits to promote both physical and emotional well-being.
