How to Nominate

Staff, parent organizations, community members are encouraged to nominate teachers and support staff for this prestigious award.

Nomination deadline: Thursday, March 19, 2026

TEACHER NOMINEES

Eligibility for Teacher Nominees

  • A teacher must have taught in the school system at least five years and be currently teaching.
  • Previous winners are not eligible for nomination.
  • Retired or deceased teachers are not eligible for nomination.
  • Teacher must be nominated by at least two persons.

Instructions for Teacher Nominees

 1.  Read the entire nomination form before you begin to answer so you may organize your responses and avoid duplication of information.

2.  Responses to the eight questions must by typed. 

3.  The nomination form must be signed by at least two interested citizens (parent, former students, fellow teachers, or other school personnel) and the school principal.       

4.  Only one nomination form will be accepted for each nominee.

5.  Up to three supplementary endorsements may be submitted with this nomination form in the form of letters and testimonial statements, not to exceed 200 words. (No more than three supplementary endorsements will be submitted to  review committee of each nominee.

6.  Objectivity, factual data and specific examples are most important.

7.  Obtain a complete resume from the teacher being nominated (degrees, honors, professional activities and organizations, etc.) to submit with this nomination form.

 Judges will make their selections on the basis of your replies and any supplementary       information submitted.

SUPPORT STAFF NOMINEES

Eligibility for Support Staff Nominees

  • A nominee must have been in the school system at least five years and not have been a previous winner of this award.
  • A candidate must be nominated by at least two people.

Instructions for Support Staff Nominees

1.  Read the entire nomination form before you begin to answer so you may organize your responses and avoid duplication of information.

2.  The nomination form must be signed by at least two interested citizens (parent, former students, fellow teachers, or other school personnel) and the school principal.       

3.  Only one nomination form will be accepted for each nominee.
