Curriculum and Instruction
The Department of Curriculum and Instruction supports Pueblo County School District 70’s mission of educating all students to achieve their greatest personal potential. The department works to ensure that every student has access to high-quality instruction, aligned curriculum, and meaningful learning experiences that prepare them for success in school and beyond.
We advance this mission by aligning instructional resources to the Colorado Academic Standards, providing professional learning for teachers and leaders, and promoting evidence-based practices rooted in the science of reading and structured literacy. Collaboration across District departments—including the Departments of Curriculum and Instruction, Student Services, and Special Education—ensures a comprehensive and coordinated approach to teaching and learning that supports every student’s academic, social, and emotional growth.
